So I have been saving parts for a 2276 for a long time. Priorities change and I am now considering a 1914. 69x94, I have cnc panchitos , h beam 5.4s , lightened flywheel, tp tool steel lifters, chromoly pushrods, 40 drlas etc. The heads were setup with dual springs, to retainers. I had previously purchased a web 86b and 1.4s for the 2276 but I fear this will be too much for this build. This is a street car weekend toy with 4 wheel discs, lowered and stock gearing.
What are your thoughts given the current supply issues? _________________ 1967 Sunroof Beetle: tourist pass car

Lotsa compression. At least 9,3, preferably a little more. Use the 86b. Advance it 2 max 3 degrees and use 1,25 rockers with it and youre in business. _________________ https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=435993 |

Interesting reading in this thread.

I have been following along for the last couple days. Most of the best quality builders on this site have chimed in.
While the 86b is not specifically targeted. The content is worth the time to read. IMO. _________________ I have learned over the years.

I couldn't agree more.
There is allot of content to absorb. Being a shade tree mechanic. I'm doing my level best to understand the posts. _________________ I have learned over the years.
