Bake it, per the instructions on the VHT paint can.
I did, and the paint is hard.
But it chips rather easily. Just be careful after the bake.

I'm not unique in saying I have that shifter, but I do and I like the short throw. Also the black pool-ball fits nicely in the palm.

While there is easy access, might as well throw in a kafer-bar for the.... um... single port.

Would the tach have fit into the hole to the right of the speedometer, if you rounded the straight edges slightly? Then you don't have the gauge way down out of direct sight like you have it now, and a target for a passenger's knee bumping it.
