Hello everyone
I need a little help identifying this convertible bug. I am a type 3 guy and a little rusty identifying bugs by sight. The car is in a locked yard but I was able to take these photos. The questions I have are.
What year ?
Are the fenders, hood , deck lid , bumpers , mirrors , windows, convertible top correct?
What would be a good price with no motor ? ( sitting high )
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

… Built to look like a European car - doubt that it is though - I like the '50s GM car with the windshield visor, 3 cars, up the row - that bug looks like a mid-'60s ( 64 or '65) - i'd never buy from that lot - keep looking! Whatever they are asking > is too much - nice, new top - bet that shop is selling it. - z _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

I'd say beware - car has been 'restored' but is missing the body/bonnet trim strips and bonnet handle. has had a new cabrio outer top fitted but it looks a bit skinny, as if there's not enough wadding underneath, and non-standard rear edge fitting. non original running boards.
possibly a 65-66 car, judging by the decklid and door handles, but only the numbers will say for sure... you would need a thorough check over the bodywork for bodge repairs and bondo. _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

Thank you for the information. If the numbers say it’s a 64-66 and the body and pan are in good shape is it worth anything? Only looking for a daily driver not to start a full resto. Im no stranger to a project. Just don’t want old school fenders and stuff on the wrong body. |

… I'd buy a much more reliable (and comfortable) Civic, with a/c - my '05 was only $3300 - z _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

Looks like the body is 1965, tall glass and no center defroster vent on the dash |

I know it’s an upholstery shop not a car dealer. |
