Hey 74 Thing, Thanks for the info, yeah i've been looking there.
Still just throwing this out there, what about the AC Industries drums?
I've got their front disc brake kit and it's been fine.
Again just curious but I'll try to go with German ones if I can.
Back to 'waiting on parts'...

(in Dr Frankenstein's voice) "It's Alive, ALIVE!"
I finally got a replacement brake drum, cleaned and painted it and it's installed!
So the test drive>
Man this "pistol wheel" accelerator is a pretty nice setup.
Took a few min to get used to the feel but I like it, it's instant acceleration if you can believe that.
And it appears I can accelerate quite a bit faster now,(first, 2nd and third gear) which makes me wonder if I had the old accel cable adjusted correctly.
I don't think I was getting full throttle before, but I am now.
Brakes, I got a good pedal now.
Clutch work seems smooth now with that new clutch shaft upgrade from Classic bug parts and good to know there's no "hook" to wear out and break off.
So, all this work started with disappearing brake fluid the THING apparently needed some maintenance anyways so it was worth it (and it gave me something to do as well).
So to recap:
I replaced;
the Master cylender
2 new brake light pressure switches
all metal brake lines
rear rubber hoses
Accelerator cable - ordered a 2642 mm (104") length (the new one I had was about 1/2 to 3/4inch too short)
Clutch cable-111.721.335-E @2282mm (i actually measured total-length end to end @ apx 2279mm) -it fit perfect with room for future pedal adjustments.
rebuilt clutch/brake pedal assembly
Used "super lube" for all pedal and cable lubrication.
One tube was just enough as I had to pull and install and re-lube a 2nd set of cables but 1 tube was just right (but get 2 to be happy).
Installed a Pistol wheel accelerator upgrade from "classic bug parts"
Installed a replacement clutch pedal shaft upgrade from "classic bug parts"
New Reservoir hose
Firewall (front and rear) brake line grommets
Clutch shaft Seal
Some other various rubber grommet items
I ended up replacing things as I went along unknowingly of how much was involved, wish I could have made a master list and "just ordered all at once" but it's done now.
Thank you all for your help & suggestions to who did respond and hope this will help any future folks finding themselves wondering...
"Where did all the brake fluid go?"
