At least no VW's were harmed in the creation of that.
I've often wondered how well one of those would do at Barrett Jackson, shovel some chrome stuff into the back, strap a surf board on and sell it Saturday night, it'll be right up there with all those 23 window "tributes". _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Kind of reminds me of those early cold war era East German knock-off buses. |

Man, that website is setup screwy or my old browser is misinterpreting it somehow.
Under 'color' the listed options are "Unpowered truck" "Electrick truck" and "Deposit"
Since 'Plug type' is an option, I gather this 'vw bus' is an electric replica.
I also find free shipping on a *vehicle* to be quite weird. Is it actually a model and not full-size or...? _________________ Two Bugs-

link to the fiberglass buss from their samba ad. I talked to a local guy that was planning on get one and got the runaround. I think they suspected he was going to try to make a driving vehicle. Not the case.

I watched a YouTube video of a guy that bought a $10k super car from China and received a electric smart car looking thing. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

Ah! It's a static unit, not a driving vehicle. Just a rolling kitchen, right? _________________ Two Bugs-

I saw photos underneath of one at a bakery in Phoenix that looked like it was drivable (steering, brakes, lights, suspension) and it was powered by an electric motor. _________________ Prosit!

Huh, weird. So they are actual vehicles. They're definitely electric, yeah.
Surely they don't deliver them by driving them to whoever buys them? _________________ Two Bugs-

Not my photos. From FB. The photo I saw had a steering wheel, but looking at this photo I'm Not sure how they steer?

This is the same bus as the other pictures I posted. I wonder if it is the same pink bus Bunglebus posted? There are differences. AC unit on roof and what looks like led lights on the other.

The dash is different. It’s missing the square thing to the left of the cluster.
Those buses seem very slab sided. Missing any contour. Someone will VW drivetrain one. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

That steering confuses the hell out of me, it looks like a big long drag link coming from the steering box to the RH wheel at a 45 degree angle, but what connects the LH wheel to the right?, must be obscured by the axle.
I suspect there's a big sticker that says "Not for highway use" on there somewhere. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Maybe there's an electric steering-rack hiding behind the axle?
I don't see that tiny steering wheel having enough leverage for manual steering.
As for the sticker, that wouldn't surprise me one bit! _________________ Two Bugs-

There are others - as stated above, powered by an electric motor but probably not recommended for road use
Love the wheelarches on this. They do them to look like steam trains, Peterbilts, garden sheds... _________________
