The bumpers on my recently acquired 95EVC are shade of medium gray. Wondering if they were originally gray or black and also wondering what the current favorite choice is for spray painting the bumpers? I would like to use an aerosol paint so that I can repair and re-coat if needed easily. I’ve had experience with SEM plastic and vinyl paints in the past and I’m wondering if that would be a Durable Fade free finish? |

They started out black and then get various shades of sun faded. I painted mine with Krylon Fusion Spray Paint in Satin Black. Seemed to come out nice and is a huge improvement to my eyes. |

Have you tried "back to black". Not a paint just a rub on solution. _________________ 2002 EVC |

The problem with rub on liquids like back to Black is that once you use them it generally eliminates the possibility of painting as the rub on liquid is silicone-based and it’s impossible to get out of the plastic after you’ve applied it. |

I’ve used Back to Black before. It works for a while and you have to keep reapplying. For a cheaper version, you can use peanut butter. Thank you Saab forums for that bit. I’m with Specialev. I would just paint them. |
