I had the "real" Budweiser (Imported from Czechoslovakia at the time) in Germany on my honeymoon in Bavaria 35 years ago. It was quite good, unlike the swill coming out of St.Louis... |

Been on Miller High Life Lights and Miller Lite's mainly..
Since we dont go "out" much anymore.. its been simply the routine..
I picked up some Coors "Banquet" just to remind me what it was .. still goes good with a Smokey and The Bandit marathon and a BBQ cook out or seafood boil.
Had a couple from Triple C Brewing at an actual restaurant last night..
3C IPA
followed by
Baby Maker Imperial Douple IPA
wow.. I've had the 3C before but both are very nice.
The Baby Maker reminded me of a bold SN Torpedo.. so.. mmmmm

Yes, going to be 115* here in Portland today. Gotta start drinking water early and frequently
Don’t judge me!! I’m on vacation Now I’m drinking a Reubens “Mind the Gap” IPA , just to spite you

HAHA! No problem with breakfast beers, just wanted to make sure. Coors makes a pretty good red beer I hear.
Gonna be in the triple digits here the next several days, too. I generally swap over to lemonade, ice cubes, and a splash of vodka when it gets this hot. Though I did have a splash of bailey's in my coffee already today.
Have some of this stuff hiding in the root cellar, gonna have one when it hits 105, just for fun.

Yep, thick, sticky, chewy, etc. I feel I am up for the challenge.
Summer time cab heated old style Canadian pilsner. I hope you're up for the challenge.
I have a story about that beer. I once sold a 67 squareback to a guy in Calgary. When he came down to fetch it, he had a box of pilsner with him. As he stepped out of his truck, he cracked a beer and handed one to me. We sat in my driveway sippin' pilsners and chatting. Once loaded up (car, not people) he hit the road. I had never had that beer before, but now I buy some when I see it. Nothing special, but it has a good memory attached. Thanks Paul! _________________ nothing |

The big ass thermometer on my fence says 110, but it might have a spot of sunshine hitting it on the backside. More like mid-90's right now I think.
Just cracked one of these, as I have had so much water already I needed a change.

A good Mint Julep is awfully nice... I make a homade mint syrup for my bourbon.... it was a Alton Brown Good
Eats tip... I must say is outstanding if you like that cocktail _________________ aka Ken {o\!/o}

I can't do brown liquor, but a nice vodka, or Patron silver with a few ice cubes is OK with me on a hot day. Water, and gatorade, get old and boring by the end of the day. _________________ nothing |

A nice home distilled corn liquor is good over ice. But my preference is neat!
I might make an exception to the neat rule this afternoon. _________________ I have learned over the years.

A good friend of mine recently retired from turning wrenches for 40 years. So I built him a beer bouquet.
Bodhizafa is his favorite, and Lucille fits right in. The Narwhal is a perfect centerpiece.
