Hi Guys,
I have decided to fit back my Oris trailer hitch that came with my SO-44.
Sadly I cannot find anymore the 2 U bolts that are bolted on the torsion tube. Size is M10/150mm height/100mm spacing between both ends.
I have searched on internet but the parts I see are all too short. I have found the Mefa brand in Germany that have the good parts but the minimum order quantity is 50.
Do you know a source where it is possible to buy to 2 pieces?
Thanks,
Phil |

Go to your local trailer supply or car spring shop or tractor supply. They can easily make a set for you or they can tell you who can. Some things are too cheap or special or low quantity to advertise on the internet. _________________ .

Muffler shop can also make these for you. I had one done by a customer of mine and only took a few minutes. |

I have an extra set from when I mounted a hitch. You can have them if you’d like. I think I got them from McMaster Carr . Excellent source for hardware.

The "U" bolts need to be of a proper strength. More than likely a muffler shop will not have that. A trailer or semi-truck supply place will have the better quality. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

I suspect that they are the same size than the ones used by Westfalia. The torsion bar tube measures 89mm to which you add about 40mm for the thickness of the hitch. You end up with a minimum length of 150 if you want to fit a good washer and the nut.
General hardware stores don’t have this length in M10, perhaps in M12 but not sure. |

Is Alex in England still around? He made all the pieces for sale. |
