Hello everyone,
Name's Frank, am the new guy from Windhoek, Namibia. I have two older VW's, a 1972 Beetle and this one, a 1982 VW Golf. It is a true survivor and still completely standard and unmolested. These cars are incredibly scarce here as three door variants as VW South Africa only sold them in very limited numbers. Most have been modified as race or rally cars in the past. This is one of two (as far as I am aware) still driving in Namibia in original condition. The car is called Wall-E.
I enjoy reading up on all the fascinating info on this site.
Drive safe
ElStiemo

Thank you. It is good, not perfect. But finding one (3door) in any condition here is already a luckshot. _________________ From the VW stable:

they are very rare and hard to find here in the north east USA and they made them in PA for 4 years.
nice car, would love to see some more interior and engine compartment pics..
*why does typing that in the middle of the night make me feel oddly perverted and sad at the same time? _________________

Acknowledging you have a problem is the first step. |
