So i am going to get a set of BRM replica wheels (4.5" & 6.5"). I have a 65 with a link pin beam. Seems like i have read before somewhere that the center caps don't fit over the driver's side front because of the speedo cable. Just wondering if there is a solution for this? I did see they have a 1" tall cap. Will that do the trick? Will that look stupid? I also have Empi wide 5 disk brakes if that matters.

Flatten/shorten the dust cap with a BFH. Worked for me and many others.

Tap each one in the center.....ok, use a BFH. These are just aluminum and it doesnt take a whole lot to get what you need for clearance. Just do all 4 so it looks right. The BRM painted logo may chip. Be prepared to lightly sand it away on all four. It has been done MANY times before! Oh, and use a socket for this. It makes it look like it was pressed. The socket should be a little bigger than the actual clearance needed.
