Good morning, hope everyone had a good thanksgiving! Im in the process of restoring a 65 vert, and I'm sourcing a new antenna, and would like to put it exactly as it came out of factory.
Questions:
1. I see some cars with it left or right side? Which is correct?
2. What is the correct antenna? Single post or dual mount?
Thanks! |

Volkswagen (and Karmann) did not install radios at the "factory"
Radios were dealer installed upon request or owner installed after purchase.
Thus.... Antenna location and type were subject to the installers discretion.
Most antennas installed were the single base style by 1965
IMO Id use a hidden antenna and not open up a hole . _________________ aka Ken {o\!/o}

my 1965 vert has the same style, but mounted on the driver side. And the car came with the original antenna which was a retracting style |
