Please help! Need a reputable VW machine shop within a couple hundred miles of Charlotte NC. I really need a shop that can trim cylinders shorter, but I'll settle for about anyone with the experience and fixtures needed for work on VW cases.

Thanks

King machine shop in Burlington - http://kingmachineshop.com

Was also having trouble finding someone locally; shipped my case off to Keith's for an align bore and thrust cut, then found out King will do aircooled VW work.
Had him check clearances and assemble + balance the crank + rods + flywheel + pressure plate.
Said he can do the align bore + thrust cut as well.

Nice guy. iirc he said his father did a lot of acvw work so he has all the tools and know-how, though it's def not an ACVW specific shop.

Great to know about King. I'll be moving to the area next year, and have held off my engine projects until after the move. I'll definitely make contact with them.
