I just can't seem to locate specifics on the screw dimensions for a Super Beetle sunroof crank handle screw.
Sunroof Handle Screw
313-877-471
Screw for sliding sunroof winder handle.
Does anyone know the size/specs?
Thanks! |

Looks like it has a special type of head on it which probably serves a purpose. That may be a VW specific design. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

It appears to be an M4 Phillips head screw at 6MM length, however, I have not been able to properly identify thread pitch.
Pitch is either M4 at 0.7 or M4 at 0.75.
Photo is of spare pulled from 69 Beetle sunroof crank and fits my 74 Super.
So this size screw may be compatible with all T1 sunroof cranks. _________________ 74 Super Sun Bug - OTTO

I appreciate you taking the time to post a quality/detailed image. This helps.
I will check out what Ace Hardware carries as they typically have a larger, harder to find selection. Then I will be super careful when installing.
Thanks everyone. |
