I have only been able to find TDI cylinder head remove and replace tutorials and /or videos. Anyone know of a tutorial for the in-line five cylinder gas engine cylinder head R and R?

Can't imagine any different. Remove air box. Disconnect fuel lines. Disconnect wiring. Pull wires from under intake man.
Line up tdc. Remove distributer. Loosen timing belt and slide off cam sprocket. Disconnect downpipe. Remove valve cover. Loosen then remove head bolts. Lift off head. Install reverse as removed

The gas and diesel five cylinders are virtually the same long blocks, so the procedures for head removal are similar enough to serve as a guide. The SOHC Audi fives from the '80s and '90s are also the same, so there should be lots of info out there to help you along. Post pics here and we can help you along. This is a relatively easy job, but attention to detail is key
