I wonder if the rear window rubber I ordered from BusDepot back in July will finally arrive now. Rolling Eyes

I would imagine it should, mine was also in that batch of back ordered from them. No time frame on the slider door seals from them though.

so, I am ordering the bellow mounted fuel cell and I was thinking about going big. Well 29 gallons big, it would hold 180lbs of petrol plus 25lbs of tank weight. What do you all think about going that big. By my calculation that would give me a range of just under 600 miles at 20 miles per gallon. To big??? To small????

I just checked my parts and realized I used a side window seal on the rear hatch seal. The funny thing is it fits perfectly. I am still going to order the rear seal but who would have known.

I’m guessing with your experience that this fuel cell would fit in the original fuel tank location. If so, then fuck yes!

We all just use Jerry cans when we worry about not being able to buy gas off grid, between exits.

im relocating it to the bottom of the bus this way better weight distribution with the larger motor. I did something similar with the Acura powered one from years ago. sort of like this.....

so here is the proper one installed and both of them side by side. best I can tell almost identical length just the side ones are a bit thicker. Could also just be a different manufacturer though.

Back to the wiring tonight, On Friday I am purchasing the Transmission parts from Subarugears. Just trying to keep the momentum going on this build. The wires not connected go the gas pedal and A/C unit controller and assembly. The harness on this is so much more complicated due to Canbus system and all the sensors.

Pulled the trigger, looks like about three month lead time for delivery. I should have enough to keep me busy.

Well then, screw Bus Depot (still not a peep from them despite taking my money), I'll just order a side gasket from CIP and use it on my hatch.

This tip needs to be saved somewhere, because the rear seal is by far the hardest to find.

Its cold outside but a great time to work on the AC system. I am on the hunt for a condenser no bigger than 23in wide and 13in tall. Any Suggestions?? also it needs to have the import style connectors on it. This way I can use the stock plumbing. I also was able to modify the blower assembly and evaporator in prep for it to be installed between the front seats. I pulled the core out and rotated the inlet and outlet 90 deg so it goes out the bottom of the floor. My fingers show were the outlets were originally. The plan is to run all the plumbing on the bottom of the bus.

One step closer today on both the cooling system and AC condenser. The Radiator I ordered is similar to the one I used on the Acura Powered bus. This one is made by Griffin and is 13" by 22" and 3" deep. Yes 3 inches of fantastic cooling power, I coupled this one with twin Flex A Lite fans. I saved the fan controller from the Tribeca to power them. Now onto the AC system, I have been searching for about a month now for a condenser that will fit and has the Japanese style connectors. I took a trip to the junk yard today for inspiration and I found what I need. The vehicle that has the perfect fit is a 1997-2001 Honda CRV. And the best news is its ONLY $52 brand new. I will be making a bracket for it in the coming days to show you how it all fits together. Here are some shots of it all.

Almost forgot, I found a donor 2003 Subaru Forester with a nice AC control head unit, shifter assembly, and transmission wiring harness and controller.

Really like your build!
I put the Subaru heater A/C unit under my back seat and piped it through the floor and connected it to the heater piping going up to the front. I mounted the Subaru heater control to the right of the steering column. Works great and will add the A/C this Spring with the condenser mounted in front of the belly rad. See the 1st page of my build link in my signature below for pics.

I'm just curious if you have the heater ONLY blowing into the original duct from the back?

Are you going to have the AC also blow into/through the duct?
