I wonder if the rear window rubber I ordered from BusDepot back in July will finally arrive now. _________________ -Ian

I’m guessing with your experience that this fuel cell would fit in the original fuel tank location. If so, then fuck yes! _________________ __________

so, I am ordering the bellow mounted fuel cell and I was thinking about going big. Well 29 gallons big, it would hold 180lbs of petrol plus 25lbs of tank weight. What do you all think about going that big. By my calculation that would give me a range of just under 600 miles at 20 miles per gallon. To big??? To small???? |
Really?? no body has any input about the fuel cell? |
We all just use Jerry cans when we worry about not being able to buy gas off grid, between exits. _________________ .ssS! |

I just checked my parts and realized I used a side window seal on the rear hatch seal. The funny thing is it fits perfectly. I am still going to order the rear seal but who would have known. |
Really? That's an incredibly handy piece of information. _________________ -Ian

so here is the proper one installed and both of them side by side. best I can tell almost identical length just the side ones are a bit thicker. Could also just be a different manufacturer though.
|
Well then, screw Bus Depot (still not a peep from them despite taking my money), I'll just order a side gasket from CIP and use it on my hatch.
This tip needs to be saved somewhere, because the rear seal is by far the hardest to find. _________________ -Ian

Its cold outside but a great time to work on the AC system. I am on the hunt for a condenser no bigger than 23in wide and 13in tall. Any Suggestions?? also it needs to have the import style connectors on it. This way I can use the stock plumbing. I also was able to modify the blower assembly and evaporator in prep for it to be installed between the front seats. I pulled the core out and rotated the inlet and outlet 90 deg so it goes out the bottom of the floor. My fingers show were the outlets were originally. The plan is to run all the plumbing on the bottom of the bus.

Really like your build!
I put the Subaru heater A/C unit under my back seat and piped it through the floor and connected it to the heater piping going up to the front. I mounted the Subaru heater control to the right of the steering column. Works great and will add the A/C this Spring with the condenser mounted in front of the belly rad. See the 1st page of my build link in my signature below for pics. _________________ *******************************
