There are optimists, pessimists and realists. I tend toward the latter. On my budget and at my age finding one even though perhaps is possible, affording it, getting it home and running is little more than a dream. Plus it is a single use vehicle whereas an track equipt Buggy could be whapped back to wheels in a few minutes if done correctly.
Adding tracks to my Buggy is a much more achievable goal.

I saw one of these snow Trac things for sale, possibly on skeezbay, a while back. within the last year or two. I couldn't believe it and probably never see one for sale again but who knows |

A little google noodling this morning turned up this thread,

Mattracks makes track adapter kits. But I bet they're not cheap. And they will take a little fabrication to fit a VW.

No doubt in my mind that they would work in powder snow. The biggest downside for me was the cost. And shipping to Canada almost doubles that! _________________ We had the stone age, the bronze age, the industrial age and now we are in the age of mass deception and mind control for corporate profit. it's not rocket appliances to build a set of those, I've seen a bunch of guys on the net build those at home of all various sizes and out of various parts. _________________ Forced induction can overcome a lot of obsticles that gets in it's way
