Just a note
Based on the license plate (ZE) and the sticker the car is probably from Zell am See. Really nice town in Austrian alps. There is lot of snow for many months. So it probably seen lot of salt from the roads as is seen from the photos you pointed. _________________ T3 Syncro camper in progress |

Could be from Austria, could be from anywhere else where they used a lot of salt. I wouldn't believe a word they say
.... "mechanically top notch!" |

I quite like the fact that there is actually rust lying inside the wheel.
Seems like it's crumbling as they are taking the pics.
Which might be another USP, the bus is getting lighter, hence better mpg's
It could be funny if it weren't so sad |

That thing sat outside unused for a long time.
All the ridiculous blathering in the description should be enough to make anyone run away. |

For a few grand I'd be interested, for less than 5k I would totally make that a work truck. Less than 2 hours to go and it's under $4500. Seems I am not the only one who thinks that. I wonder who's gonna get bid fever and get suckered.
For $35k, they can certainly see the door. _________________ '87 Syncro

Looks like the seller just got a good dose of reality. Glad nobody got taken. |

The highest bid at least shows some buyer awareness...not the $$$ they were trying to get. _________________ This free advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

you can still look.... "reserve not met". so the hook is re-baited and will be cast upon the waters once again. it DOES look like a fun place to spend a day looking at vehicles if one had a wad of cash to burn. _________________ -dan

Per the verbose narrative, this vehicle is being offered under consignment.
Quote: |
...That's because this is a Doka, and it's the verboten van-truck of your dreams, and it's all up for consignment. Our consignor was inspired by a similar DOKA owned by Ferdinand Porsche... |
That can severely handicap the 'seller' but may also provide them some cover if things are not what they seem.
Mainly it means they aren't carrying inventory so they are not under the same pressure to move product as a dealer would be. |
