After years of only making parts for Syncro Vanagons, we decided to make a few sets of 1st/2nd gears for early 113 transaxles.

These gears feature a tooth profile copied directly from Formula 1 racing gears. This tooth design puts all wear where it belongs .. centered on the tooth flank.

These 113 mainshafts are available (in various ratio combinations) through Rancho and other trans shops utilizing GT VW gears.

For the heck of it, we've also made a few 091/1 and 094 gear sets which also feature F1 tooth profiles:

Fantastic work! I suppose the material for the shaft and the gears is comparable to that on OEM parts?

Thanks Rome .. GT gears & shafts are German vacuum-processed steel, with specialized heat-treatment, shot-peened & REM-polished.
