I have been trying to find additional photos of the brown Beetle Cab Over I found on Pinterest. It seems in some of the photos there may be two of the same color but with slight differences in the build. I am looking to build one or more like this and have accumulated donor bodies. I am not new to this but I figured why reinvent the wheel? Appreciate any input

So this is the one I just completed here in South Africa.
He is called MeFusco, Me as its mine, Fusca as its beetle and o instead of a as it male.
It has type 4 motor and gear box under cab and drives the front wheels.
McPherson struts up front and air bags at the back
So here you go....
Finally have most of the car done, and in its final stage.
Still needs a few repairs, and small unforeseen changes such as too low rear mud guards.
Also needs a good clean as its got dirt and grim all over from the "adjustments" ...
Repair to assembly damage, and trail bumps....
But here is a full coverage of the MeFusco, after two years of work, and fun.
So here goes ...........
OH !!! The rubber mat on the rear fender was taken out to take the photo's thats why its there,
Thanks for looking.
Herman

Herman,
what kind of front suspension did you use? Golf / Jetta or ? Homemade main frame or something from a different car / truck? Just wondering how you did get a tidle for it. |

The front McPherson's came off a Opel Monza and the back swing arm from a Renault Scenic.
The frame is a semi- ridged frame.
The main sections came from a vw Bay panel van.
There by using the engine and gear box
Biggest issue's was the steering and the gear shift

Have had a few requests for the build, but as it was a two year build would be to long to post here.
You can however see the full build as well as the motivation to build this here truck at .. https://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/viewtopic.php?t=38278
Should you like me to post the build here on The Samba, I will, let me know .
