So I bought a collection of VW parts and in the bottom of a box found this interesting little clock, its a 6 volt and appears to be dated 1966, any idea what car this would have come off of? Any information or clues would be wildly helpful

Since nobody else guessed- if it was supplied original with a German car I'm going to say Mercedes. Being 6V makes it less likely to be a high-end car like that though. It's fairly identical to about 50 other clocks in shape and design; except for the face that matches VW's very well. Though I'm fairly sure Mercedes had a clock that was close to identical to that one.
Just as likely it's a period accessory that you'd find in a catalogue for a variety of German makes.
Since VDO supplied gauges for manufacturers all over the world might be hard to precisely identify it.
Either way it's 100% perfect for a VW. _________________
