A nice CLR bath and would do wonders to see what you have to deal with. I see some good bones there! |

Great find and score, it looks very nice. Give it a good clean, some CLR treatment on rusty parts and a gentle polish afterwards, and it will look awesome in its original factory Velvet green. Luv it! |

NuPolish .. I meant NuFiniah lol.. try soaking those bumpers in a kiddie pool filled with oxalic acid and water for a few hours and a bit of elbow grease, I bet they would transform nicely |

Simple green in a spray bottle and a hot water pressure wash (about 45 minutes) will save hours and hours of rubbing effort. Nice bus. _________________

Great find and looking forward to the clean up.
This photo reminded me of something I recently learned with dealing with tie down straps. Not sure how to embed the YouTube link.

71whitewesty, yes thanks, very cool trick to deal with loose tie down straps. Fixed it for you.
We are all waiting with bated breath to see the interior of this Westy.

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

Neat trick if you like to have mile-long straps. It is quicker to just throw the dead ends of the straps inside the car and close the door on them.
For my trailer, I only haul VWs, so I just cut my straps to the right length and threw out the ends that I would never use. _________________ .
