I put down a coat of restoration shop acrylic urethane on some fenders today just to get an idea of how the bodywork looked. I unfortunately got a small sag on one fender. I was going to knock down the sag and give the fenders a quick sanding before I put on the final 2 coats. How long should I wait before sanding and would 400 be a good grit for a quick pre paint color sand...steve

Always do whatever grit your TDS states. Not all paints are equal and what works for PPG might not work for TCP Global. Wait until they're good and dry to sand, probably 24 hours depending on the temperature.

Yes, make sure its completely dry before sanding. If I get a sag I pull off a piece of tape and gently apply it immediately and remove most of the sag. Makes it much easier to sand later!

Can you do this on a curved surface? The only way I have done this is to intentional apply more product so that the excess runs to the edge. Then use some tape to pull it off. It would be better if you didn't have to apply more to make it move to the edge.
