I have been starting my buggy every other day to warm up and try to keep it running smoothly in this cold weather. Today I started it up with a few kicks of the peddle to get some gas in her, and she starts right up.... ussaully.....Today I had to keep my foot on the peddle and rev it up to about 2500 rpms for about 10 seconds, had to do this a few times... It would usually stay at idle but it kept stalling out. It ran fine all of last summer. I'm not sure if its a choke issue or somthing else. It has a 32/36 DGEV Weber carburetor Electric Choke, and a adjstable pressure gauge, thats reading about 2.5 psi and fuel is pushed by an electric pump. Any ideas as to what could be the problem?.. Thanks all, in advance..... |

Choke working?
Before starting her up next time, pop off air cleaner and look down carb throat while you tip in throttle. Choke butterfly plate should snap freely to closed or almost closed; probably needs adjusting, set more toward closed. |
