For that price you would think they could get a photographer instead of a flip phone camera. |

Dang, I mean sure that's pretty rare and desirable. But there's a LOT of other vehicles I'd go buy for $240K before this one. Especially when they can't be bothered to take real photos of it or any of the usual problem spots or tell us if it still runs. With only 194km on it, I kinda doubt it unless they've been religious about starting it and maintaining the rubber bits. |

I'm fairly certain this is the one Burley owned for awhile, and brought it to Syncrofest one year. IIRC, it was completely original, meaning if you wanted to actually drive it (GASP!), you would need to tear the engine down and rebuild. _________________ 1988 Tintop Wolfsburg Special Edition - "Meatloaf"

Some people love collecting rare things for various reasons. Some people pay millions of dollars for pictures of dead dudes on paper that didn’t do anything really important.
Who am I to judge someone who made an buttload of money and has the cash to throw down on a truck.

Hey, but it is good to know that it has only 194,000 SINGLE kilometres on it.
I'd hate to think it might have had those DOUBLE kms. _________________ '88 VW Westfalia

I think it's actually underpriced... if it sales for even more money, that means my tired and beat up Tristar can also, someday, be atleast equal to what I paid . _________________ 65 deluxe

this falls into the "what do you do with it" category if you were to own it....every mile added loses value. it was have to go into someone's collection that collects low mileage cars....those folks exist, as one guy just purged his collection at Mecum the other day.
that said the only way to hype this up to those guys would be a real good auction house...they'd advertise the fuck out of it and you'd pay your 10-15% fees.
Were it to go that route, I bet it would pull 100-130k at best if you had 2 guys in a bank account fight. otherwise, on a normal sale i think 80k tops _________________
