Light clutch pedal, consistent and smooth on the street. Clutch disks don't last long if you take it to the strip often. Choose your trade-offs. _________________

Why not just make a custom set of wires with a Y splice in them. Then you could just run one distributor. |
I don't think electrickery works that way |

I have it. Not installed yet. However, I was talking to Ron at BUGIN and he said there's are plenty of people running the normal REV6 on the STREET. People with 500HP on tap. |

I'd call Ron. He's pretty open about it. But I'd say that if you will be 100% street, he did stand firmly behind the street 6 setup. He had me almost regretting picking it up but I figured I'd just be putting it to the test and see it's limitations first hand. I previously had a stg 1 with the black magic and even that held firm once I picked up the correct flywheel. People make the HUGE mistake (including me) of using a chromoly fly with sintered iron. German steel only! |

I bought that one. They always look burnt up. My friend Dean Nilson went 8.60s 1/4 mile in his pro mod bug with his Rev 6 burnt and warped. He said it didn't grab any different with everything resurfaced and fresh so he kept running it. I plan on glass beading the disc and putting it back into service. _________________ John Bates

I have been running a RLR Black Magic Super 7 with a stage 1 for a couple years now with a chromoly Bugpack flywheel and no issues, 215 hp, 2000lb street car on DOT slicks and 7,000 rpm launches. Although the RLR website doesn't say the material their flywheels are made from, they are definitely not German steel. I have machined 4 of his flywheels and would bet they are 4140 or 4340 chromoly. _________________ John Bates

Sure, but that's 215 hp. You can get away with a stage 2 KEP and copperhead disc with that. No wonder you aren't slipping like I was . And I wasn't only slipping at launch, I was slipping under a shitload of boost on the top end. No matter how I shimmed the PP or bead/sand blasted the disc. But don't take my word for it.. call Ron and ask him yourself. He'll tell you the same thing he said to my face. Chrome Vanadium or Kennedy flywheels with the BM only. Also, I only relay information based on first hand experience. /shrug |
