a stock 67 master has two ports for brake light switches, they will need to be plugged if you are not going to use them. _________________ drive your split. |

Ah, ok.
I've never used a '67 master. All of my Buses, even my '67 (it was a super early 67) have been single circuit. _________________ All he needed was a wheel in his hand and four on the road.

make sure you remove the residual pressure valve from the front brake circuit (rear port on the master). There is good instructions on the Type E site. _________________ drive your split. |

I just got it all in and bled and took it for a spin. The pedal is a different feel than drums but holy crap it stops! I just have lap belts and the friend who was in the passenger seat damn near smacked his face on the dash _________________ All he needed was a wheel in his hand and four on the road.

Is it normal for the pedal to have more travel and not feel as solid as it did with drums? I’ve used a power bleeder and even replaced the rear shoes, adjusted them properly, finding no leaks, adjusted the pedal rod, etc. When I hit the pedal it stops great, far better than drums, as I said in a previous post. It just seems to have more play and doesn’t feel as solid when I press the pedal. _________________ All he needed was a wheel in his hand and four on the road.

Are you sure you have the correct lines in the correct ports of the master? The rear line and left front are right next to each other near the frame rail. My pedal barely moves before the front discs start to grab |

Yes. They are as the diagram shows, the one to the front of the bus goes to the rear brakes _________________ All he needed was a wheel in his hand and four on the road.

Disc brake rookie question - On the webpage for the '64-'67 kit somebody posted a review stating he used it on a '57 panel. What's the difference in a early versus '64-'67 kit? I'd love a kit on my '60. |

Likely he has a beam from a later Bus in it. Quite common if you’re running a narrowed beam. _________________ All he needed was a wheel in his hand and four on the road.

Is this a difference in the spindles? |

Yes early spindles are different. I have a 1960, but it has a 66 beam on it |

After the 67 install, I will absolutely install the early kit on my 58 single when they're ready. Here is my recent email with Brian (Type e motorsports)-

Did you figure this out? I finished the install and I have the same issue. Stops on a dime but takes too much pedal to do so. Bled system 3 times, no bubbles, new MC and right front line. I also did the rear while cylinders as they were shot. Maybe I need to adjust the rear drums more? |

Try bleeding it jacked up- that way the calipers are a little lower. Sometimes there is air in the caliper. My buddy chased this for weeks. _________________ 66 13 window deluxe
