I am preparing to put my new heads back on and I bought the 90 minute right stuff. I just looked at the small print on package, it indicates not for use on head gaskets. Is it still ok to use on water jacket? Do most people use the one minute right stuff, or 90 minute right stuff?

a head gasket is a metal ring at the top of the cylinder. quite different that the water jacket (which is often incorrectly referred to as 'head gasket leak' when it starts leaking coolant).

you're probably fine. some recommend the right stuff (hi ben). i think i used the stuff that came in the gasket kit, dirko s.

I use the right stuff 1 minute in the aerosol can.

It works great for that application.

I have some 90 minute the right stuff...... or maybe I threw it away!
Hated it!

How they can attach the same name to such an inferior product is mind boggling........

Dave, are you suggesting to get rid of 90 min stuff for 1 minute. I was thinking that more set up time may be an advantage to a first timer. However, if it is not a great product, I can work faster with 1 minute.

Others may love the 90 minute.
I don't.

I'm sure the 90 minute will work as will other products.

I found the working time of the 1 minute more than adequate.
But.....
I've been twisting wrenches since the 1960's.
