yeah that is funny. But at least the price is not an outrageous starting point. one does need a VIN and some basic parts to weld all the new stuff to.....

The price is not too ridiculously high, but those taillights are.
A lot wrong there, wouldn’t touch it anyway.

it is definitely not fuzzy cloth like in his ad photo (I wouldn't want that on my engine), but yes the coil wire is the sheathed just like some of the other wires in the harness on early beetles/buses
also he says it has correct original style connectors but it does not appear to and definitely should not be shrink wrapped
original coil wire in my 1951 beetle with matching engine. Excuse the dust, this car gets driven and I have a long dirt driveway

It should have insulators on the ends, they have dried and dropped away. They are not shrink material, but insulator rubber. I have them on my wires

Beware. This is for a Goggomobil, not a VW. No it won't fit a VW, it's too short. The seller knows this, but wants to try and scam a VW owner.

...and the tip of that handle is broken off, which he doesn´t inform neither.
It happens often, that people try to sell Goggomobile L-handles as splitbug handles at very high prices. In most cases they know very well, that this doesn´t work for VW´s. |
