NOS Berg engine from '82 - value?

I am working on my new project, basically to make some money so I can feel good about having to lay out $2500 or more to fix my bubbling rust problem.

I was talking to Chris Vallone my neighbor about the selling price of all VW car prices going up as much as 82%.

I realize that yes parts are going up and so are repairs . Not that I plan on selling my bug but it is nice to know, our cars are becoming money in the bank.
