More flips than a waffle house pancake

Hi All, I have been here on the Samba for awhile, mostly on the VW side with Vanagon Syncros. I grew up with Air cooled VWs and always lusted after the 80s 911 back then. Recently I have been spending some time checking the market. It is really interesting to watch how many are for sale, they are not all that rare, compared to say a Syncro Westfalia, but the market is nuts. If you check on Bring a Trailer there could be 7 on there at one time. The interesting takeaway is that it seems a lot of these cars are being flipped more times than a waffle house pancake. It does not seem that there is a lot of holding and appreciating, present company excluded. I really am hoping to come across one that has had a few loving owners and is being sold by a private party at some point, as I have a high distrust of the flipping dealers that are churning the market. I am interested in hearing the opinion of those with more experience than me.
