This was part of the early "mosaic kit" non factory fitting kit.
The higher rear part was for the bed to fold into due to the roof being curved,
not flat like the factory roof.
Westfalia later changed the kit to the folding part of the bed to be in two pieces( hindge in the centre) to allow for the conventional flat roof to be used on aftermarket fitments. |
