The numbers indicate the end of 1957 but I'm not sure because of the 2A.
I thought a 1957 transmission would only be "A".
Hopefully someone else has one to reference.
My 2/55 transmission has a different look to it with a full "A" and a dash mark:

Yes, Barndoor gearboxes only went up to 6 trailing digits.
My Feb 55 is 2A-407107:
Looks like yours is towards the end of ‘57, with the anomaly of the leading 2

This was a 1958 Bus gearbox of mine
From your new added pictures, your axles/reduction boxes are non-Barndoor _________________ -StockRocks- |

It’s actually only the drive shafts I’m after. If they’ll fit Kubel RGB’s |

I looking for information about a gearbox (year and ratio) but I can’t find any details anywhere.
If I refer to the chart, it should have 2 letters but not on my gearbox case!
Anyone have ever see that kind of numbers Id?
A0380424
2 drain plugs
Thank you! |

From the pics i can tell it’s a tunnel case tranny.
I don’t see the boxes
The tranny may or may not have the original gears inside. It may have been rebuildt with differnt gears. _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |
