That already started a few years ago with some models. The high prices will keep young kids from enjoy the vintage air-cooled hobbies also.

I have a classic car insurance $300 bucks a year, unlimited driving, except going to malls or work. Must have them for 20 years.
Have them for years, two years ago they have me down for $18,000 if my bug is totaled. This year $ 23,000.
They just go by the year of the bug , never come to see it, 74 full custom, not a numbers matching engine.
The first called I gave them was my windshield was foggy from adhesive between the glass. The guy said well it is not broken but seeing you have never called us for anything, they send a truck over to my home and put in a new windshield.

I stopped in on Chris once, nice fellow and doing well. The wankers who “ call him out” for not using the right beige washer button don’t get thst he is savvy in addressing people with money who want a decent old Bug, not a show queen that trailers around collecting $3 trophies.
Hope he is doing well still.

umm no. the younger generation isnt going to stop buying acvw's because the price of "restored" examples are selling for a higher price.
We dont drop 15k on ready to go vw's. Thst doesnt even make sense.
