Just wanted to post these pics again, of the camper on our way back from BBB in January 2007, so that was fifteen years ago.
We've put over 53,000 miles on it since we started driving it in 2006. It looks a bit better now, too. |

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

IIRC, it was about 50F inside when moving. The bus was really drafty and we stopped at that Ace hardware in Utah for 2" wide blue painter's tape to cover the seams around the the rear hatch, the sub hatch, and pop outs. I stuffed newspaper under the front floor mat to block the drafts from the rust holes. Painters tape does not leave horrible residue like duct tape, FWIW.
It did not get above freezing the whole 1000 miles home. It was an Arctic blast, so not really good timing for a road trip lol. It was 80F on us in LA a week before, FWIW
Did I ever mention how I love that Eberspacher heater?

Was that the Buses By The Fridge year?
I can attest that the Eberspacher was wonderful when we crammed into your heated bus at the campground. _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS
