Ok guys, enough procrastinating on this one! When the wife gets up from her nap I am going to invent some kind of story, get a picture and get this challenge put to bed!

We had to run into town and drop the Jetta off at the tire shop so here is two old coots (one with a funny squint on) and two daily driven VW old water pumpers.

Does that pass muster?

I did camp with a former Olympian from the 1972 Olympic Games.

I would like to ask what qualifies as a muscle car? Every car on the road has more "muscle" than my beetle...

You don't have to beat one. Just get a pic next to a muscle car.

But the, Beat challenge is a bit tougher.

I ran against a later model POS Vette, last fall.
Even thou it was running like shit. It still did 112mph in the 1/4.
Compared to my lowly 93MPH.
I'll beat his ass in the future!

Back about '83 I was sorting out the tuning on my turbo Rabbit, just stop in a parking lot, make a change and try it at the next set of traffic lights. Some dude in a brand new shiny red 350 4 speed Camaro IROC came sifting through the traffic to see what I was up to. When He got up next to me he goosed 'er off the lights, took me a second to react, a bit more for the turbo to spool up so he got a 3 car jump on me. Caught and passed him by a pretty good margin before we got to the next lights. He was trying hard too... he got 3rd gear rubber... didn't want a rematch it seemed...

I often wondered which dealership it went back to for warranty. "This thing's gutless! A beat up Rabbit on winter tires just blew me away!"

It's been a long time coming, but I'm so happy to have it back on the road.
