I was replacing the rubber base that goes behind the hood emblem on my 58 Ghia and noticed that the sheet metal on the nose has a raised base that is formed on the nose that is slightly larger in diameter of the hood emblem base. I have 7 other Ghias including a 1959 Ghia and they don’t have this feature. Can an expert on Ghias tell me if this is a factory manufactured feature or if it’s custom body work? _________________ 1956 Beetle Oval Rag top with Judson SC

It’s an early lowlight feature, I always thought it was 55-57 production but I think it was also early 58? _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!
