March 17th was also Saturday and St. Patrick’s day. Was the show over 3 hours long? 😀 |

Went to The Mummies show in Portland, Oregon this past Saturday night. Fantastic. They play again in Philly, April 21, thinking about getting on a plane. _________________ ---

Was great, you should have jumped in with us. The air/space museum is off the hook with space stuff now, Titan II rockets, Saturn V parts, moon lander...my better half put pics on FB.
Chatted with Larry, Mummies guitarist, he is a VW guy, so we talked VWs. Edgar Allen Posers played, you would have liked the Black Sabbath song they did.
We could split hairs on plane or plain _________________ ---

Didn't know the museum was on the list this time. Is the Spruce Goose still there?
Not sure I would be into the music, but a live show is always fun.
Never read the lyrics, just listened to the song. Can't get the spelling of that word from the sound.
On topic for this thread, I have not been to alive show in a very long time. Looking forward to some shows this spring and summer. Hoping to catch some small acts in outdoor venues. Crowds don't do much for me anymore, and the larger acts are asking way too much money for my pocketbook these days. _________________ nothing |

After 2 years of isolation, I came out of the cave and went to see Foreigner! They exceeded my expectations, and put on an amazing show with excellent sound system and great venue at the River Cree Casino, Edmonton. _________________ Where would this hobby be if no one shipped parts.

I just saw Daikaiju at a small club here in Colorado Springs. Probably one of the most high energy, craziest shows I’ve ever been to. Amazing music, chaos and fire. Plenty of fire. I’ve never seen a drummer crowd surf, but the crowd held up him and most of kit while he just destroyed. After setting the drum kit on fire, they marched out the front door, jumped on top of their tour van and lit it on fire with lighter fluid while than thanking the crowd.
Absolutely a must see experience that’ll have me back the next time they’re around.

Sounds like a Crash Worship show without the roman candles and bottle rockets inside of the venue. Yes I stood next to the fire exit. |

Good shit. Never been to crash worship, but it’s on my list. If they’re still playing. _________________ I've never met a Bus I didn't like.

That was probably the most I have ever feared for my safety at a show. The only other time I remotly felt like that was a Bad Brains show in the mid 80's. The whole main floor turned into a pit. |

I haven’t been to concerts or club acts in 2 years. My old ass is currently in a California desert enjoying a few days of musicians. Had to make up for lost time.

Concert #2 since the pandemic started. Durand Jones and The Indications last night in Portland, OR. Feels good to watch live music again. Next up REO SPEEDWAGON AND STYX WITH LOVERBOY – LIVE AND UNZOOMED 2022 TOUR!
That’s for sure bringing the 6 grader in me right out

REO Speedwagon was my first concert, with Richard Marx as the opener, in Fargo North Dakota in the mid 80's. Two songs into Marx's set, my buddy Wayne set off a Navy smoke bomb in the crowd. His older brother had just gotten out, and brought some gifts home with him. The house lights came up, the cops looked around, and the place was absolutely filled with smoke.
45 minutes later, the Speedwagon took the stage and finished the show.
Good times. _________________ nothing |

I would give them a 8/10. _________________ Oprn wrote: I'm getting to the age that any self propelled woman (no wheel chair or walker) looks HOT!! Oooo! look at that Babe!
