Hey I've got a set of those, too. I have been trying to figure out where they came from and what center caps would fit on them.
I have to keep a set of ball seat lugs in the frunk with my spare on a stock rim. |
Those look great on your Bug! I eventually sold mine, after powdercoating them black and using them for a bit on my former "Creeky" '69 Bug. My research indicated they were an Italian wheel, made by "MiM."

Thanks! They are growing on me, but I still think I want a set of Fuchs replicas someday. I need to find some center caps for mine. They would look better I think. _________________ 1972 Super Build |

Marathons with a twist: chromed and widened in rear. With center caps of course!

Scored these wheels locally found on a 68 squareback someone cut these babies back in the 80’s LOL did a great job they are 14x5.5’s and the chrome is still shiny considering they were chromed in the early 80’s

Beware the evil 13" diameter x 4" wide, 4x130 bolt pattern, KPZ (and/or Lemmerz) steelies... Preliminary research indicates they may have come on early '60s Skodas (EDIT: Or possibly more likely early '60s DKWs--thanks Puppy67 @ TheSamba for the guidance)... I just scored a set from a Samba seller in Switzerland, and am eager to dig into documenting/refinishing/using them... Just have to first make sure & do a quick bolt-up of one to my '70 Bug to make sure that they clear the brakes (they should, since I run stock drums), and also have already ordered a set of extra-lengh lug bolts, since I can forsee possibly wanting to use my 1/4" spacers with these... Anyway, stay tuned, and I'll eventually be starting up a dedicated thread to compile pictures & knowledge learned along the way... Picture is from yesterday (10/14/2022) when they first arrived at my house, after I unpacked them...

The more I see these wheels, the more I like them.
They look great against the patina.

In case you have ever wondered what four-lug BRMs would look like on a '71 Super with stock suspension and 165r15 tires...
These are EMPI's rendition of the 4-lug BRM, 4.5" width all around. I was worried about the offset (ET 15), but it actually looks about perfect. Both front and rear are just inside the fender lip. I'm using the stock drum brakes. Most disk-brake conversions add considerable offset, so that would cause these to poke beyond the fender. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |

I wanted those in 4.5 and 5.5. Not sure if I’ll ever pull the trigger. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

Cleaned up one of my essence wheels today only took about an hour to do the one I have a dirty one next to the detailed one next to each other for comparison. Not perfect but perfect for a patina’ed ride. These are my favorite 4 lug wheel unfortunately they only look good in my squareback LOL I tried them on my 67 vert beetle “ NO BUENO” LoL
