well, Lieb was my grandmother's name, some of her uncles decided to move to the US around the turn of the 20th century. They opened a bakery in NY. Later they moved to the Portland area, they are still there, baking bread, selling organic foods, etc. I knew of this bus from a relative in Portland, she sent me a pic. I found other pics on the samba, even talked to the then owner of one of their other buses. Just didn't have the funds to buy it.
That's my story.

As found in 2001, you can see in vintage picture above, the added left taillight that was just bolted on. Bus was last licensed in '68, probably parked not long after that photo above.
