I have been thinking of doing such a tutorial for a long time since this seems to be a well under rated thing within both this car brand and also others. Then I stumbled upon this guy. He does a pretty good explanation and tutorial, you just have to filter out that its a Ford LOL.
Anyway, grab a cuppa and sit down and learn.

Yes, please do a tutorial as a lot of people do not understand that the distributor drive orientation does not matter unless you have retarded #3 distributor. |

It doesn't matter either way as long as you keep the factory body mark as #1. |

BEST procedure is to set it up same as factory, that way the smuck that buys your used/rebuilt engine does not spend hour or days on i-net trying to undo or figure out what you have done.... _________________ “Fear The Government That Wants To Take Your Guns" - Thomas Jefferson.

if someone needs to spend that much time trying to figure out a vw dizzy wire orientation then they’ll be on the net for days regardless…. _________________ Forced induction can overcome a lot of obsticles that gets in it's way

If a distributor has an oil hole does it need to line up with the case hole? |
