Hi, Quick question: would a crank start apron work on a 1600 dual port motor? I have a small nut trans in a 56 panel. Thanks, Albert |

More common 1200 apron will be too narrow. Much less common 1500 apron will bolt right up. |

The crankstart apron is for a 36hp engine, which is shorter than later engines. You can modify your rear piece of engine tin to make it fit, but a cleaner way to do it would be to just cut a hole in a later apron. _________________ .

Thank you for the reply's. I had the crank start apron painted and did not think about the difference. I need to ask questions first from now on. Thanks again, Albert |

The "Thing" came with a 1600 with a crankstart for a while too. |

yes, it fits, but...
the fit is tight. The crank apron is deeper. This means difficult to fit the rear engine seal.
