sometimes i wish i was better with the german "tracht". but the red headscarf is not familiar at all. Landscape in general could be close to where i am from.
maybe a little farther east? _________________ regards

perhaps the photographer brought the scarves along for extra impact, especially as they spread nicely from the left across the photo...or maybe they were on special offer at c&a

The picture is from a calendar. The text on the date page says 'North Germany'. Still a pretty big area though...

This was on eBay recently:

Where’d you see or find that? |
ummmm, ebay? |
Hahaha, I knew that would happen, once I hit “submit.” I meant where on ebay or how do people come across these type of framed poctures/paintings. I like these older scenes with VWs...they go well with my old, framed maps hahaha. |
I can't remember how it came up for me, I have a lot of different searches.
I have multiple difference searches for vintage VW photos, that may be the source of it.
I'm pretty sure I've seen this scene before, I think in one of the vintage VW yearly calendars.
Found it - They may have removed it from this 1959 calendar:
More 1959 Calendar pics I posted |

Thank you. Maybe it was close to Wolfsburg, that would make sense for a VW, be in the North, and right on what was the border to eastern germany at the time. _________________ regards
