Here is a 1967 Kustom Fastback I bought in the UK a month ago. Its now in the UK having been imported here last year. From the history I have, the look it has now was done back in 1992. It featured in VW Trends in 1995, and during its life in So-Cal I believe it won a few trophies, of which I have one. It just won a trophy at a local car show here in the UK run by Rothfink Industries.

The car is a rust free 67, has suicide with remote solenoid poppers, single piece tinted windows, shaved door handles and trunk handle, custom paint work with ghost flames, Porsche "2 litre" alloys, a custom ragtop, custom interior, seats/carpet/headliner/door panels/rear parcel shelf. Under the hood and trunk it has custom covers, the front being embossed with flames. All the chrome work is still great, all of the hood and trunk catches are chromed too. It has a vintage to the 90's Alpine headunit with amp and subwoofer which won't play any tunes made after 1995.

It cleaned up really well, and for such an old conversion it is in stunning condition. Its running a 1776 engine with twin weber carbs and runs great.

Its in good hands here, residing with my stable of other VW's which include 2 66 notchbacks and a 68 square back. Hope you enhoy the photos.

I don't have any great plans other than some minor touches to the switchgear (i'll make bespoke billet parts). The rest will just be preservation.

Hope you enjoy the photos, which include a couple I have been sent from its life around San Francisco and the feature from VW trends - as you can see it hasn't changed much, other than the wheels and mirrors.

Very cool. I like the 2.0 liter wheels on there.

Very cool. Cool Nice to see an "old show" car still around, and being taken care off. Very Happy

Thanks, yeah, its pretty cool - its testimony to those who did the work, its stood the test of time and was done to a very high standard. The only issue really is that there are a couple of dings and dents that need doing and its going to be very difficult to rectify to a high standard where they're not noticeable because of the paint. Although we will do our best.

that's what they're for! Its pretty fast too so it easily keeps up and outdoes a lot of modern traffic without any problems.
