I have a 67 bug with a stock beam, 2.5" dropped spindles and drum brakes. I would like to keep a stock sized beam if possible and run zero offset disc brakes. Can I run a CB Performance stock width beam with puma adjusters to achieve the 2.5 drop? Not sure how those adjusters work or what they are capable of. I can't find zero offset dropped spindles and I want the wheels to fit properly under the fenders concerning width. Just not sure how to put all this together, would appreciate some input. Thank you, Mike

According to the CB website their kits add 3/8" to each side. Personally I would go with the CB 2" narrowed to fit everything nice and neat. 2" narrowed will be barely noticeable and doesn't require any modding or cutting. I run a 4" so I could run wider tires and tuck under the fender. In my opinion nothing looks worse than a bug with the tires sticking out of the fenders.

5th centurycheese could you show a photo of yours with the dropped spindles? I have a 67and thinking about the spindle route to get the front down, most 67s I see have a high in the front stance...Thanks

What wheels (width and offset/backspace) do you intend to run?

These are the wheels and tires I will continue to run. The beam is stock with 2.5 dropped spindles.
