Gino Cappelletti, an original member of the Boston Patriots in 1960 and the American Football League's Most Valuable Player in 1964, has died. He was 89, according to the team.
Cappelletti was one of only three players to play in every game in the AFL's 10-year history, along with Jim Otto and George Blanda.

Fred Ward, a prolific actor best known for roles in The Right Stuff, Tremors, Miami Blues, True Detective and many others, died May 8. He was 79.
His death was announced by his publicist. No cause or place of death was disclosed.

I saw the announcement for Fred Ward on my news feed 20 minutes ago and thought I could be the first one to post it to the Samba. But noooo, you beat me by 2 hours.

Former White House national security adviser Robert C. McFarlane, a top aide to President Ronald Reagan who pleaded guilty to charges for his role in an illegal arms-for-hostages deal known as the Iran-Contra affair, has died. He was 84.
#25 would be my nephew drafted out of the university of Illinois, now pitching for the St Lucie Florida Mets in A ball. Very excited for him. Thanks for asking.

I remember and liked that movie, but I didn't realize it was Fred Ward. I did Like the worm movies.

Ex-Brooklyn Dodgers catcher, Mets coach Joe Pignatano dies at 92.
As a Mets fan for over 50 years, I remember him for his his tomato garden in the bullpen at Shea.
During the 1969 season, Pignatano discovered a stray tomato plant growing in the right field bullpen at Shea and kept it healthy. As the Mets continued to win, the plant became something of a good-luck charm and Pignatano’s garden took root.

Brazilian influencer Jesse Kozechen and his golden retriever died in a car accident in Oregon Monday.
