Hi I'm trying to remove they ignition from my girlfriends super beetle because her keys were stolen and we don't have any keys to they car now. Can anyone tell me how I go about this? Do I drill it out like older American cars? Or is there a different process for these cars?

If mine, I'd get the key code from a door lock cylinder and have a key made from the code.

Folks keep on failing to make a spare set of keys when they buy a vehicle, very troubling.....

I agree. Get new keys cut to code.

Well we are going to try the code first. But this is an auction car and appears to be pieced together so I'm not having high hopes. But going to try that first. Wondering what plan b is on these tho
