OK, I've been unsuccessfully trying to locate/contact the owner of this awesome green beetle shown at the DKW Show Mexico City 2021.
I'm hoping they are on here or someone here knows them. I'd love to know where the wheels came from if at all possible??
TIA

Maybe it's a modern steel wheel with the center cut out, and a VW wide-5 center welded in. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |

Agreed. Looks like a space-saver spare with a center and wider rim welded on. |

These are close but I think they are a 2 or 3 piece billet rather than stamped.

If so they've done an awesome job of it, from the looks of it it appears to be a steel pressed centre on wider barrels....
the hunt continues |

RAM Promaster City cargo van. Those are plastic hub caps in the center.

I counted 16 holes on one and 20 on the other. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

Right. It's not a perfect match. I'm sure there is some other vehicle around that donated those wheels. The bug was built in Mexico, right? It might be a vehicle specific to that market.
I guess what matters to benozoval56 is that the wheels are most likely a one-of-a-kind, custom made mashup. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |

Mercedes center(5x112mm) on the above wheel into VW(5x205mm) would be a stretch. That center section on the green bug started out as 205mm. |

Haha, I just came here to post that! 17" Cayenne steel spares. Somewhere floating around is a pic of a Beetle w/ 18" chromed Porsche steel spares I think. The 18's Have a big flat-faced ring in the the middle for what I imagine is caliper clearance. _________________ '74 412 wagon
