I once hauled 800 lbs of cement in my 91 Passat wagon. I was working in construction back then. I kept the rear seats folded down and used that car like a pickup. |
A few months ago I used my 05 passat wagon for hauling hay. Must of had 8 bails in the back and 4 on the roof. NEVER AGAIN! So much straw embedded into the carpet.
It does give the car a more natural smell tho _________________ -'85 c10 5.3 LS, 222 cam, long tubes, x pipe, 3 inch spin tech's

Yeah…. Still looking for something to recapture the, shall we say, je ne sais quoi. So far, Bay window Westy, meh. Rabbit truck, eh, no. Thing… nah. TDI Golf, definitely not. Bullet Bird, not so much. But maybe, hopefully, The Wildebeest might actually trip the trigger. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Gotta love the Squarebacks
I’ve hauled bikes in mine, kayaks on top, piping, pallets, doors, fenders, tons of car parts, groceries, and some people you may say unusual
I hauled this engine stand in my Squareback and beetle but it broke the Cracked the windshield in the Squareback worse than it was
I also have hauled a mini fridge in the beetle, water tank _________________ 1964 sunroof Beetle Restoration "Herbie"

When we were in South America I saw a lot of different cars rigged for work. One that stands out in my memory was a late 60's Chevy Nova SS 4 door with roof racks. It had an extension ladder and lumber on it.
I had no idea that GM made a 4 door Nova SS! Well it looked authentic and original. Hood bumps, grill, factory rally wheels and emblems all in place. _________________ We had the stone age, the bronze age, the industrial age and now we are in the age of mass deception and mind control for corporate profit. Huh!
A Jetta, pulling a dune buggy, pulling a rail.
I like it!

But what's pulling the Jetta, surely disabled by some impossible-to-find electrical gremlin? |
