NO, not if you're paying $600. I got one like that for nothing and I'm still behind. But the work is fun. Like putting together a puzzle. Each section is a learning experience. A little yard work, a little beetle. A little family, a little beetle. And on we go. |

I see 400 bucks worth of entertainment value there even if you never get the car put back together. |
Absolutely. Much cheaper than escorts and no doctors visit required afterwards _________________ .ssS! |

I paid $400 for mine in 1993 when I was 15 and still have and love it. If my math is correct I've probably spent about a million dollars on it but have learned so much about the car and myself in the process. It has taught me patience like nothing else has. And the feeling I got when I taught my son to drive it a few months ago was pretty special.
Everyone's circumstances are different so it's tough to say what works for some and not others. If you have the time, patience and at least some funds to get started it may be the start of something that you could enjoy forever. Or it could just be a money pit that sits in the corner of the yard.... _________________ 71 Westfalia
