This may have been discussed before. The text on the front, is it paint or vinyl? |

Looks nice!
What about the sunroof, is the mechanism and the rails VW original or something home made? _________________ Why have a good looking face? You can't even see your own face! |

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

All the sunroof parts are Barndoor and we used a new fitting kit for the moving service parts. |

Hi There, The original painting on the front was done in Turkey circa 1956/57 as seen in the photo of the painter painting the map on the side of the bus. We considered painting the map but didnt have a finished photo to work from.
The sign writing on the front was carried out by hand using a local sign wrIter with traditional painting skills. |

Took the bus out for a holiday in Norfolk but sadly the 66' gearbox we thought was a good one wasn't, so out it comes and off for rebuild.

Finally took the bus out for its final test drive with the newly rebuilt 66' gearbox fitted. Now engages in and out of first and second and goes into reverse.
I gave the bus a good coating of clear wax inside amd out.
Looking forward to the spring. Ben Pon in Holland and Lavenham UK shows will be here soon.
